Eben’s Unforgettable Summer Internship with Maine Outdoors

This past summer, the picturesque mid coast played host to an exciting partnership: Eben, a bright and enthusiastic intern, joined the Maine Outdoors team. As part of the Maine Tourism Association’s workforce development program, Tourism for ME, Eben’s internship promised adventure, learning, and a chance to experience the state’s vibrant outdoor industry.

Eben, a fishing enthusiast and aspiring guide, brought boundless energy and curiosity to the role.

Maine Outdoors provides outdoor recreation and sustainable tourism for families and beginners. Eben was welcomed with open arms as part of the team. Behind Eben’s internship stood the Maine Tourism Association’s commitment to nurturing talent. By bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world experience, they aimed to create a pipeline of skilled professionals who would staff Maine’s tourism industry. Eben’s journey exemplified this vision, blending education, passion, and purpose.

And now, the pièce de résistance: the video documenting Eben’s summer internship. With sweeping drone shots, candid interviews, and breathtaking vistas, it encapsulated the essence of Eben’s adventure.

As the leaves turned golden and the days grew shorter, Eben’s internship came to an end. But the memories linger—the laughter shared, and the friendship forged. Not to mention Eben passed his guides exam mid-summer and is now a Registered Maine Guide in his own right!

If you’re curious about Eben’s journey, I encourage you to watch the video. It’s a celebration of passion, nature, and the magic that happens when an intern brings energy and enthusiasm to an old dog like me.
