Thank you all!

You know you are lucky when your street number and age are the same. At my current number it is cause for reflection. I have been incredibly fortunate. First, I lucked out when I married Argy. We took the leap in our twenties. Neither knowing what the future might hold but leaping right in. Together we have accomplished much. First we have two great sons both guides and teachers in different areas then either of their parents. Not carbon copies but different than us but with skills we can easily see were learned at an early age. Noah with Equinox Guiding Service and Nicholas with SPN tours .

Maine Outdoors was an idea 38 years ago and it took both of us to make it a success. The idea was not without detractors; I have a clear memory of a hotel owner telling me point blank that people would not do something that could not be done in large groups; I should give up immediately. The odd schedule of a seasonal business is always a challenge.  Many years had Argy calling October Don Who Month? Because I was simply not around and for 20 years in a remote region of the state 250 miles from home. Clearly it took more than one person to get us to where we are today. I owe her a ton.

This morning was spent on the water with clients who have fished with me for over 20 years. Indeed a few others have been with me since the beginning in the late 1980’s. It is great fun to see them all and I still enjoy their company every trip.

All I can say is thank you all for the birthday wishes and your support for all of these years. Could not have done it without you and look forward ot a few more years of fun together!
